Shortstack
has been immersed in the Florida music scene since mid 2001. It wasn't until
April of 2003 that they found the right front woman with a powerful voice and
amazing stage presence to complete the lineup. Punk, funk, rock, hip-hop, and
metal influences are all apparent in their music. Shortstacks' songs are filled
with hooks, hard-driving guitars over incredible bass lines and beats that make
you bounce. In July of 2003, Shortstack independently released a six song self-titled
EP. The EP has been well received by the South Florida scene and the media.
The band is known for tight, highly energetic shows and is booking tours throughout
the East Coast for the remainder of the year. Shortstack is interested in touring
on a larger scale, obtaining sponsorship, and label representation.
